J.K.K. Munirajah college of Technology was established in the year 2008 Governed by Annai J.K.K.Sampoorani Ammal Charitable Trust, primarily with the objective of delivering world class quality in Education and Training in a structured and systematic manner J.K.K. Munirajah group of Institutions was founded by J.K.K.Munirajah, who is a reputed industrialist, technocrat, an educationalist par excellence, an avid social worker, a person imbibed in deep spiritual values and a philanthropist. The management has completed 25 years of dedicated service to the people of India and abroad in the field of Education. The Institution has an area of 250 acres of land richly endowed with beautiful greenland. The college with its state-of- the- art infrastructural facilities and excellent academic records has earned recognition as one of the reputed educational institutions for men and women in India.

CLASS ROOM MANNERS

  • Students should be polite, dignified, neat and obedient.
  • Students are expected to be seated in the Lecture hall five minutes before the commencement of the class.
  • Students should stand up as a mark of respect when a faculty enters or leaves the classroom.
  • Students should maintain discipline & silence inside the lecture hall / drawing hall / labs / workshops.
  • Student's movement outside the classroom in between the lecture class is strictly prohibited.
  • Students should bring their own calculators, drawing instruments, charts, data book etc., whenever needed.
  • Students are expected to take care of their belongings.
  • Students are instructed not to bring any valuable items to the college.
  • Using MOBILE / WALKMAN / CAMERA inside the college campus is strictly prohibited.
  • Avoid chewing bubble gum, chocolate inside the class room during lecture hour.
  • Students should wear their own lab coats and bring observation notebooks to the laboratory classes regularly.
  • Record of Experiments done in a particular class should be submitted in the next lab class.
  • Students who do not submit the record note in time will not be allowed to do the next experiments and will not be given attendance for that laboratory class.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave the laboratory until they complete the experiment.

STUDENTS CARE

  • Personal attention to the academics of inmates during study hours every day.
  • High standard and discipline in the hostel (i.e. ragging, smoking, drinking, playing cards, use of mobile phones, discussion about politics and religion are strictly prohibited in the hostels).
  • Menu is prepared by student committee and supported by Hygienic food as prescribed by the Dietician
  • Counseling and guidance once in a semester to the inmates of the hostel by external counselor, in addition to the counseling given by the sub wardens, deputy warden and warden.

INFRASTRUCTURE

    The college has an impressive building with an extent of 3,20,000 square feet with standardized class rooms, and well equipped labs etc., to accommodate various engineering courses. Commodious library with latest volumes, adequate study tables, an extensive Drawing Hall, Computer Centers, Students common rooms, and well furnished Conference Hall etc., stand as a proof for the good infrastructure of the college.  All  the  departments  have  been  provided with well-equipped laboratories and complimented with latest equipments in technologies.

    The college of engineering is equipped with modern amenities and facilities. Spread over a picturesque campus beautifully landscaped with lawns, trees making it very eco-friendly. The rustic surroundings of the campus promote a good atmosphere for concentration and studying. The climate in the college campus is dry during the months of January to June, pleasant during fall &  winter i.e. July to March.

    The maximum and minimum temperature during summer is 33 & 25 degrees Celsius and during fall and winter is 30 & 16 degrees Celsius.Each department within the center is extensively supported by networked computers, and computers are available throughout the center for student use as well. A wireless network has recently been installed, providing wireless Internet access throughout the complex.

Library
  • An enormous collection of books & journals on each and every discipline offered is a standing testimony. Presently our college central library has more than 20,000 number of volumes and 8000 number of titles. In addition to this, a collection of reference books, periodicals, magazines and its back volumes, project reports, theses etc. are also available. The operations of the library are computerized and automated. The college is a institutional  member  in  the  Indian  Institute  of Technology, Madras - Library to facilitate the staff and students to borrow books and journals from the esteemed institution and has the subscription of e-journals under INDEST Scheme and our students are able to access a lot of International journals through NET.
  • Book bank facilities are extended to SC/ST students under Central Government Book bank 2005-06 Scheme. A large number of CD ROM's and Audio Cassettes are a supplementary Digital Resources available in the library.
Library Services
  • A modern digital library network with high speed internet access is also housed in the premises.
  • Reprographic facilities with photocopier, Document Scanner, Printer & CD writer are provided for.
  • Seperate sections for Reference Material, Book Bank, Periodicals, Project Reports are provided for easy access.
  • UDC coding, Bar coding, Magnetic sensors and an integrated library management software facilitate faster processing.
  • Inter Library Loan facility is arranged through DELNET TNAU, etc for acquiring urgently required references.
  • Apart from the subject books GATE,CAT,GMAT,GRE,IELTS,TOFEL and Civil Service exam books are available in the central library.
  • JKKMCT Library has gone online within the JKKMCT.net (JKKMCT Intranet).
  • OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) facility is now available at the library entrance as well as from departmental libraries to facilitate online search of books available in the library with Title, Author, Keyword and Subject search. options.
Hostel
  • Separate hostel accommodation for girls and boys are available. The ladies hostel houses around 100 girls. The gents hostel accommodates up to 400 boys.  
  • Hostel mess is run by the management with the guidance of warden/deputy warden and student representative. Vegetarian food is served in the hostels. However, arrangements are made for providing non-vegetarian dishes. Mess charges are collected on dividing system.. Day Scholars, parents and guests are allowed to take food on payment.
  • The hostels are provided with reverse osmosis based plant for purified drinking water and also has Diesel Generator set as a standby power supply. The students share their room on triple basis.
  • The hostel is equipped with complete public address system for telephone and other communications facilities. A balanced nutritious food is provided for the students for their proper health and complete discipline is maintained during their stay in the hostel. During study hours the students are motivated for their academic achievements
  • Entertainment facilities like satellite cable television and indoor games are also provided to the students

    MOU
  • KKMCT HAS SIGNED AS MOU WITH HCL TECHNOLOGIES ON 22ND DEC 2009 TO JOINTLY OFFER PLACEMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAMS.
